The featured Gerbera Daisy Cubes are covered in black and white patterned papers, but you can select a color scheme to suit your style. Feeling romantic or decorating for a wedding? Use roses instead of gerbera daisies and choose papers that match the wedding colors. If your style is more traditional, tulips are an elegant alternative. For a lusher look, use several flower stems. The gripping power of firm, crisp STYROFOAMTM brand foam will hold your flower stems tight and upright for years to come.
For one cube, you'll need:
· STYROFOAM brand foam: 3-inch cube
· 12" x 12" scrapbook papers or wrapping paper
· Silk gerbera daisy
· Green reindeer moss
· Scissors; straight pins; pencil; tape measure or ruler; white
craft glue; low temp glue gun and glue sticks; stem cutters
Make it fast:
1. Cut a 3" x 12" strip of paper; or, cut four 3-inch squares of coordinating papers. Position paper strip around cube of STYROFOAM brand foam and crease corners; remove paper from cube and firmly fold creases. Glue paper strip or paper squares to cube, pinning paper in place until glue dries. Place cube on paper, trace around bottom, cut out square, and glue to bottom of foam cube.
2. Glue reindeer moss to top of cube using low temperature glue. Trim moss as needed with scissors.
3. Trim daisy stem from 5 to 6 inches and insert into top of cube. Remove stem and reinsert using low temperature glue.
